The creation of a cosmogony (translated from the original French text by Anaëlle Poix - Art critic)

 

Light and shade confront each other in Cosmina’s artworks. However, destruction is not the purpose of this fight. On the contrary, the creation is at heart and unfolds in a cluster of materials and white and black lights that spread and organize space in the composition. This space is the construction of the development of the being.

 

The “Myriad” collection tends towards communion with the elements of nature and, in a broader way, with the forces of the universe. Everything seems both converge and diverge in a choreography of infinite, then with the being in perpetual renewal.

 

This idea of metempsychosis is also present in the ‘“Temporal vibration’” collection, which reminds us that time, without any doubt one of the most elusive elements of our universe, determines and conditions our fleeting existence. Confronted with that, the being can hope that a broader renewal is overtaking. Then the compositions of Cosmina appear more vaporous and moving. The artist develops opaque sails leaving, still reflecting the vitality of the colors.

 

The following collection, suggesting that the artist would continue on the path of evanescence,

is still followed by a series of sources of introspection, understanding of being, and exaltation of life, entitled “Life drive.” The dynamics of her artworks develop a subsistence: while all seems to disappear, a trace remains and leads us to the essence of humanity. We emerged in this original material, the source of life. With this reflection on the vital energy, Cosmina introduces us to her new collection, “From the appearance to the quintessence.” By lifting the veils of appearance, she invites us to discover a universe that emerges as a constellation of blazing colors. Cosmina leads us to various reflections on man and creation, particularly complex to paint in plastic art. Indeed, how to represent existence, time, or even the creative process? Uniquely and innovatively, the artist chose to refer to the cosmos in developing composition gradients of red or deep blue, which evolved clumps of stellar materials, such as neural, then made us go back to the origins of the world. This artistic technique being unprecedented, it was necessary to establish a new creative movement: atmospheric abstraction.

 

Thanks to her artworks, Cosmina initiates us to a new cosmogony where the being is the heart of all creation, where cosmic movement and internal movement of humanity mingle to make perceptible the source of life which permeates us and guides us unconsciously in a perpetual cycle of existence.
